ABOUT ME

I spent my childhood in Sydney, Australia on film sets, from a leading part in an HBO co-production called Fortress to a prime-time soap opera named Richmond Hill. I loved it- couldn’t get enough of the whole process. I spent the next several years travelling the country doing films and guest parts on TV series, including American projects like The Matrix that shot down there. Move to the US. I had wanted to live here since I was a kid and I realized as an adult that I needed more training, a concrete approach to this art form that I loved. So I travelled to New York and spent 2 years studying the Meisner process with Maggie Flanigan. She was everything I’d been dreaming of – your classic New York acting teacher: tough, passionate, extremely high standards and most importantly, someone with a brilliant understanding of process who was able to teach me how to approach my acting in a clear, simple yet powerful way.

From there, I dove into theatre, something I hadn’t done much in Australia. I got the chance to see more of the US through regional theatre while also doing shows in Manhattan. I also began to build my television experience in the US (I don’t watch any of the Law & Order shows- not my speed- but I’m very grateful for their existence). Los Angeles! I love the noir LA, the art-deco city of the 30-50s. You can still see it here, and it’s that history that pulls me in, as I continue to practice what I love to do most in the world on a daily basis.
